Often Shoppers will make odd requests which, for whatever reason, sound perfectly acceptable within the confines of their own minds, but when they release those requests verbally into the world, they sound like foolishness. Now, it is understandable to have a receipt broken up into two. What is not understandable is requesting that the shopkeeper do more work to accommodate the Shopper’s unusual needs, needs that could be easily met with a pair of transactions instead of a meandering path towards his goal. The Shopper thinks, though, only of itself and its own ends, and it never believes that it is out of line in any way, shape, or form. Often, they are mistaken. A computer can only do so much.
