Sundays On Safari #4: Customer Lies

sos-004-completed

The Shopper will do anything to get their way. Lying is by far the easiest method.

When their best deceptions fall through, they flee, like the cowardly little beasts that they are. When encountering an irate liar, stand your ground. They will back down, because it would otherwise be too difficult to fight any longer and they are lazy, lazy beasts. They will always choose the path of least resistance or the path with the most emotionally-charged yelling. Always approach them with extreme caution, knowing that it will most likely not be an easy or peaceful encounter.

Sundays On Safari #2: Bad Jokes

sos-002

The Shopper believes himself to be original, appealing, and drop-dead funny. Do not humor them. It only makes things worse.

Bad jokes are a peculiar disease among Shopper populations. Unfortunately, eradication is most likely impossible. This condition will persist forever, as far as my observations can conclude, so the shopkeeper must be prepared to combat it in whichever way they best see fit, without resorting to violence, mind you. (Disclaimer: The Retail Explorer and the entire Observations in Retail team do not condone violence against Shoppers, as hilarious and cathartic as it might be. Unless you actually live inside of a cartoon or comic strip. In that case, go nuts, comrade.) That all should go without saying, since anyone who works in retail is almost guaranteed to be smarter than any Shopper who passes through his doors, but in this day in age, we all have to cover our rears some way.
